My reviewRating: 5/5

Hot. Hot. Hot. This book is erotically hot. You shouldn’t mix business with pleasure…but what happen when you did? There will be consequences of course. This is an enjoyable story and I just loved everything about it; the plot, the storyline, and the characters. There are more to both Marcus and Jennifer actually, the two main characters of the story.

Marcus and Jennifer was supposed to be business partners, but the one-night stand they had and the attraction they felt toward each other can be way too risky for them. I can see the reason why Jennifer was so eager to stop whatever things happening between them. When you are working at the same place and screwing around is dangerous, because you can get caught and you will eventually lose your job. That’s what happens in most books actually. Even though there are some disagreements between Marcus and Jennifer, they always ended up working it out.

The thing I liked about their relationship is that, they were so honest with each other. There are times when they were not ready to become more or even try to get serious with one another, but then again after lots of lecturing from each of their family members, and after realizing the feelings they had for each other, they really put a lot of works to try with one another. At least they’re not afraid to take a chance at love. It was understandable why they were scared, they were afraid their past would catch up to them and also they had a rough past.

Both Jennifer and Marcus are great characters. They really work so hard to get to where there are now, and to be successful. They didn’t let their past stop them from achieving their dreams. I admired that a lot about them. Also, I liked how the author also put a lot more into writing the business part, where Jennifer and Marcus are working so hard on their project and how they came together working on the product their company make. That way the story doesn’t just focus 100% on the romance, but it also focuses on the business that both Jennifer and Marcus work so hard on. The balance in the story was well-put.

I do enjoyed knowing and learning about their characters. There was also a part where they talk about their past to each other, and I’m thankful that the author include that part in the story so that readers will have a glimpse of what their lives was like in the past, and what type of things they had to go through in order for them to work so hard to be successful, and most importantly that part showed that they are slowly opening up to one another. This story is very deep with emotions, I really felt it. Especially the part where Marcus confessed his feelings to Jennifer, my god that man is so romantic. His words teared me up. It was a heart-touching romance with a lot of steamy moments.

Rachel Stewart adores conjuring up stories for the readers of Harlequin Mills & Boon and Deep Desires Press, with tales varying from the heart-warningly romantic due to the wildly erotic.

Despite a degree in Business Studies and spending many years in the corporate world, the desire to become an author never waned and it’s now her full-time pleasure, a dream come true.

A Welsh lass at heart, she now lives in Yorkshire with her husband and three children, and if she’s not glued to her laptop, she’s wrapped up in them or enjoying the great outdoors seeking out inspiration.
